News Briefs The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a $182 billion tax cut bill that would give married couples filing jointly double the standard deduction given to single filers. The bill would expand the income bracket subject to the the lowest, 15%, tax rate and increase the earned income tax credit for low-income married couples. Good news for married couples, no children and both as wage earners. |
